CleverFarms Africa is a smart agriculture mobile app tailored for African farmers. It provides powerful tools that are mostly available offline including crop disease diagnosis, satellite farm monitoring using Sentinel-2 data, regional crop calendars, offline weather info and forecasts, general farming tips, and DIY soil pH testing. All features are designed with accessibility and connectivity challenges in mind, to empower farmers directly from their mobile phones.
We are CleverFarms-Africa, an innovative company focusing on helping farmers embrace AI technology more effectively. Our aim is to streamline the process of growing crops to create a more sustainable future for African farms. Various challenges arise due to farmers in low-connectivity regions often facing a lack of access to expert advice and real-time tools required for efficient gardening practices. This is where CleverFarms-Africa steps in to provide a solution that can cater to these needs. Our AI-driven app caters to most of its functions offline, ensuring that farmers can get valuable insights into crop diseases, identify appropriate treatments, access offline crop calendars tailored for 64 various crops across Africa, and get weather updates, daily forecasts, and pH testing recommendations, all within a user-friendly mobile interface. The true game-changer we bring to the table is the utilization of satellite data, specifically Sentinel-2, which enables our app to generate accurate NDVI and NDWI analysis for farmers to monitor plant health, assessment of water stress, and determine optimal plant growth conditions. Through our dedication to impacting the smarter farming landscape on a global scale, CleverFarms-Africa aims to lower operational costs and enhance crop productivity, ultimately benefiting the farmers in Africa and beyond.
This feature uses AI to diagnose diseases in crops using offline models. It then shows the cause, impact, spread, and treatment by looking up a local JSON file.
